27-year-old World traveler assures mom that he’s fine in a very unique way

The bond between mother and son is a special one. It remains unchanged by the time or distance. So no matter how busy are you in your daily schedule or how old you get, it’s safe to say your mom will always worry about you.

A man named Jonathan Quinonez , who was working as a consultant in Brussels, Belgium. He decided to quit his job and travel the world. For this he dropped everything, sold his car and jetted off on an adventure.

So First he visited Cuba, since internet and phone service is somewhat limited there, he had to find another way to let his worried Mexican mother to tell her he is fine.

“It was almost impossible to connect with my mom, so I came up with the idea to take a photo at every stop because a picture speaks a thousand words,” Quiñonez said.


He shared “Mom, I’m fine” photo series on his Instagram to let his mom know about his well-being .The post attracted more than 176,000 followers. So he shared this message, while he went on sky-dive in Mexico, Hike Mountains in Bolivia, Surfed in Brazil and scuba diving in Panama.

“She really cares and wants to know where I am,” Quiñonez said. “I’m not really a guy who likes to message a lot, so this was a good solution.”

Recently touched down in Morocco, where he plans to work with the Belgian Development Agency to support agricultural development.  He hopes his photos will inspire others to volunteer their time as well.
